Rebates
Dietitian counselling services are recognized by Medicare. In order to claim the rebate, you will require a referral from your GP under the “Enhanced Primary Care (EPC)” program. This will cover 5 consultations in calendar year.

If you have a diagnosed eating disorder you are eligible for 20 consultations with a dietitian with an “Eating Disorder Plan (EDP)” from your GP.

The Medicare rebate amount for 2024 is $58.10.

Some private healthcare funds will also allow rebates from dietetic services. This should be discussed with your private healthcare provider.
Telehealth
Consultations via Zoom or phone are offered for those who can not come in for face to face consultations.

Cancellation Policy:
A 24-hour cancellation fee will apply for appointments missed or not cancelled within 24 hours. The fee is 100% of the cost of the consultation and cannot be claimed from Medicare.
